| A must have Emergency Phone number... There have been several urgent posts recently about Yorkies eating something of concern, particulary over-the-counter meds and chocolate. Time is a prescious gift if your little baby is poisoned. Please put this number for the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center by your phone. They are open 24 x 7. If you can't reach your vet, call this number before posting here. Please do share your experiences. Hopefully we can all learn something. ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (888) 426-4435 Here is the link for the website FYI: http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=pro_apcc |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | this is a good post & I think it's a great idea to keep emergency numbers pre-programmed. To be a little more specific - The Aspca Emergency number does charges a fee for their services so have a credit card handy if needing emergency help. In cases of Poison - it's WORTH paying a small fee for important information .....but also remember these things too : Have a LOCAL Emergency number handy KNOW the address know the quickest way to get there - it seems bad things happen ALOT on weekends....so it's really good to be prepared. |
