Great post! and it does work, i am a EMT and we were able to save a cat that came out of a burning house with CPR.
We used a childs face mask, and it worked like a charm.

Welcome to a fellow EMT!!! Are you an EMT-B or EMT-P? I'm a volunteer B.

Excellent post. Make sure all family members read this. Also, a good idea is to have everyone practice feeling for a pulse on their baby so that if ever needed you know where it is and what it feels like. You'd be suprised at how many people don't know how to take their own pulse let alone a dogs. I'm a heart nurse and I have to teach people all the time.

I can imagine people trying to feel by the paw. But, if I didn't know, that'd probably be the first place I'd feel. Or on the neck.

I had a class too. EMS for the "different" patient (or something like that). I think I was the only one who was SO into it! All I heard was, "I'm not putting my mouth on a dog's snout!"
