Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | yup, i agree with the others. give the pup alittle plain canned pumpkin with his next meal. also, just curious, what kind of food are you feeding your puppy? If its not a good quality or doesn't have enough fiber, this can constipate the pup |

| Hi there and thankyou much. Quigley is fed only IAMs Puppy Diet Lamb and Rice. My cousin Connie, whom gave him to me for Easter told me not to ever feed him any Puppy food with chicken at all because he would have Diarrhea so he just gets the lamb and rice diet and I give him a beef gourmet in the morning and evening. I couldnt find this thread I started to get help until I got the information that someone responeded to my email for help I needed so I do thankyou for writing. How do I find a canned pumpkin without the spice they add, where do I find that? I will definitly be getting Karo Syrup and keeping it on hand for incidences like these. Thanks so much again from Quigley and Quigleys Mom

| You can buy it in a regular grocery store. Never heard of using Karo syrup. If he continues to have constipation he is not getting enough fiber in his diet so you may need to continue adding the pumpkin or find another source of fiber to add and make sure he has access to fresh water at all times. |

| Just go to the grocery store and usually the pumpkin without spices is in the pie making section in a can. If it is not in the pie section try the canned vegetable section. Just be sure it doesn't have the spices.

| Thanks so much, I'll look for the pumpkin in the store tomorrow. He had a bm today but it was stiff and he was straining hard it looked like. He is playful as all get out and loving but boy, this stuff with his constipation is not good right now. He had a 5 hour plane ride to get here and then introduced to his new home....new surroundings and his new Mama, I hope I can get this straightened out where he wont hurt trying to poop. Thanks so much for your help, its much appreciated.
