| Incision One of Cash's incisions from being nuetured looks as if it's getting infected, I see a little green around it... He's been licking at his other incision, but it doesn't appear to be infected... Is there anything at home I can clean it with?????

| Have you called the vet? i hope everything turns out okay, we use bagbalm for scrapes and stuff but i am not sure if you would use that in this case, call the vet to make sure what you should do, good luck. I wish i had some better advice for you

| I am sure you are going to do this but just to be safe I would check with the vet tomorrow. The color green is not normal.

| soak some cotton wool in the salty water and just gently wipe, it will keep it clean until you go to the vet - i wouldnt advise using a human preparation in case your vet prescribes something as there can be an illergic reaction |

| Can you take a picture of it? Now I heard some vets put some kind of green "tattoo" on dogs after they have been fixed so in case they get lost and such, this will prevent vets from doing surgery. Maybe it's best to call the vet anyway, and he'll tell you if you should come in for a visit.

| If the skin is green you are probably seeing bruising which is normal. If the discharge is green you have an infection. Also, as a side note, a dog's mouth is full of bacteria and you need to prevent him from licking it. |

| Also, you can flush the incision with saline solution for contact lens wearers. |

| It was discharge, I gently pushed on it to get some out, it's purple today, he was licking it overnight I'm sure because the scabbing is gone.. he has an appt. today with the vet, maybe I'll tell them to put a collar on him, I can watch him during the day, but not night... arrrghhhhh.. I'll update later on when we get home from vets...
