| Kammie may have eaten Allergy tablet I found a blister pack of Advil Allergy sinus medicine with one tablet chewed out today. When I found it, Kammie seemed fine and was acting normal but this evening she seems different. She had a runny BM. Her patience is VERY short and her pupils are huge. She seems like she is having a hard time focusing on one thing at a time. She has attacked our poor cat relentlessly this evening(which is somewhat normal but not as relentless). The one thing she has going for her is her size. She is a 6 month old 5 pounder. She has been basically very healthy from day one. Her one downfall is that she eats ANYTHING she finds on the ground. She finally seems to be sleeping on my husbands lap(one of her favorite spots). I guess we'll play it by ear unless she gets worse. |

| You should take her to the vet ASAP! I know it may not seem like it's urgent but you don't want to regret it later! It's better to have her checked out and making sure she's okay. A while ago, Aggie came to work with me. When I was on the phone, she found a cube of rat bait (from last year) and gnawed on it! I wasn't sure how much she had eaten but took her to the vet immediately. Her vet was glad I brought her in soon because two other dogs that came in for the same reason weren't so lucky. Well, they didn't die but after they had digested the poison, they started to poop blood. It wasn't good. Part of their intestine was bleeding. Take her in if you could! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I hope yor baby is Ok. I would definately call the vet if you haven't already to make sure there are no lingering effects. Please let us know how she is.

| All is Well with Kammie I was up most of the night worrying. I even let her sleep with me. She normally sleeps in her kennel. She seemed better this morning, Thank Goodness! The two of us took a morning nap together and now her eyes seem perfectly clear, her nose is cold and wet, she ate a good breakfast and has been playing normally again. She has a vet appt. for her first adult parvo corona shot tomorrow so we'll discuss this with her doctor. Are all Yorkies such scavengers that they eat anything and everything? A couple of my friends have Yorkies and they have all had scares with them eating crazy stuff. In fact, Kammie did vomit once last night. It was Easter grass and foil. How and why does she eat that? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Most puppies wil eat anything some prefer pills, foil anything they shouldn;t have over food. You have to treat them like a baby and puppy proof your house. Im glad Kammie is better.

| Oh yeah...when they're puppies, you really have to watch out. I put a little cat bell on Aggie so I know what she's up to. When I don't hear that bell, I know she may be up to no good. |

| You need to step in- "Are all Yorkies such scavengers that they eat anything and everything? A couple of my friends have Yorkies and they have all had scares with them eating crazy stuff. In fact, Kammie did vomit once last night. It was Easter grass and foil. How and why does she eat that? " I wouldn't go so far as to say that all Yorkies are like this, but I would say that MOST puppies are nosey and curious and she's just checking things out like most babies do and is putting things in her mouth. You are most likely going to have to teach her that this is unacceptable in order to prevent future issues like this. PM me for a few ways to do this if you're interested, or you can e-mail me at: topsredhead@yahoo.com |
