| Pogo's Surgery Today Pogo is in for his luxated patella. They are keeping him overnight. We had considered bringing him home as no one is at the vets overnight. They said he should stay though because he will remain calm and confined. I am really torn. I feel that we would watch him better, but then again knowing us we would panic about nothing. He also has a strong urge to follow and be with us. We also have 3 other dogs he likes to follow around. I feel that if he is at the Drs, he can just relax and sleep. What do you all think? Thanks! |

| Though it is hard, it prob be for the best for him to stay. I am like you, would panic over the slightest thing. you need to get some rest also for the recoup time. You would be hovering all night, and neither would get rest.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I had made arrangements with my vet to take Cali home after spaying her because no one is thre at night if they have problems. But she ended up having surgery at the 24 er hospital and staying 36 hours due to vomiting and some bleeding. Can you transfer Pogo to a 24 hr hospital at night so he will be watched.

| He'll probably just sleep and rest and I'm sure the vet knows what's best for him, even though I understand that it has to be hard to leave him there overnight. I'm sure he'll be fine. |

| Thanks all. We are picking him up at 11am PST. I called the vets this morning. They said he is bright eyed and bushy tailed, with his tail wagging no less. Wow. I guess I didn't account for the Pogo factor. This poor little guy had knee surgery and a tooth pulled and he is still Pogo. I am so relieved! I'll keep you all updated. Thanks so much for all of your kind thoughts! Gina |

| Pogo is doing great! We have to keep him quiet though, which is difficult. He wants to play with his siblings. We have him in the middle of the family room in his xpen. He spent all weekend on Daddy's lap. I take him in Tuesday to have his splint removed. I am very nervous about this, as it then means his knee will be vulnerable. This is going to be a tough several weeks. Every night we have to put back on his 'cone of silence'. I hate making him wear the collar. The only thing that compels me to do it is thinking of the damage he could do without it. I have to say though, he leaves his splint alone during the day. I am just afriad of taking a chane at night though. Thanks for all of your kind wishes.. Gina & Pogo |

| Pogo's splint is off and he is doing splendidly. I am amazed that he is walking on it. We are keeping him in his xpen, separate from our other dogs. It is going to be tough to keep him down. OY! |
