| hard lump in belly??? My Gracie has a circle like lump at the top of her belly closer to her rib cage. What in the world could it be? A herniea or something? It doesn't move around and it doesn't seem to cause her pain. But I went away for a few days and left her with my mother and when i got her today i noticed it.All her food was thte same and treats were the same. WHAT IS IT?

| Oh goodness, I hope it is not something terrible. Paddy had a little hernia once because she ran across hardwood, slid into the door and tore her inner leg muscle. It was soft and "gushy"...is Gracie's lump like that? I would think it a strange location near the ribcage though. Your vet may need to examine it and/or test it. Watch it and see if it gets any bigger. Keep us posted...

| My Gidget has a little hard lump at the bottom of her rib cage. Is the lump hard or soft?

| Has she been spayed? Sometimes that area becomes weak after spaying and if they jump up or down on furniture when it hasn't completely healed they might develope a hernia. |
