| Growly, grumbly tummy... Oscar has done this one time before and I stayed up all night with him. He is being VERY clingy, his tummy is making so much noise you can almost hear him across the room and he wimpers and moans from time to time. His head and body feel very warm but his nose is wet and cold. The mood he is in is SO unlike him. He has not thrown up or anything. Has your Yorkie ever done this? If so, is there anything I can do for him? I just hate to see him hurting.

| The pepto is a good suggestion...I use that for Maddie when her tummy gets like that, along with her meds for inflammatory bowel disease. With his tummy making so much noise, don't be surprised if he ends up with diarrhea. That's what happens with Maddie when her tummy is rumbling and groaning. Hope he feels better real soon!!!

| Thanks Cindy and Connie...I sure hope he does not get diarrhea...he didn't last time, but I was afraid he was and stayed up all night. He really does not feel good...he is 6 pounds...how much Pepto should I give him? I tried to give him some yogurt and he only took a couple of licks.

| Do you have one of those syringes with the mil marks? If so, 1/2 a mil should be right! If you don't have one of them, I'm not sure how much is in a mil...does anyone else know? It's not very much!

| Oscar was very restless thru the nite and is still not himself. If he is not better by this afternoon, I am taking him to the vet. I did not give him Pepto as I did not have a syringe and I did not want to give him too much. I am gonna watch him today to see if he eats anything or what is going on. Thanks guys for all your help.

| He just ate some of his RC 33 so that is a good sign. I am gonna take him to the vet today anyway. He needs his heartworm refilled and is due for shots. I may not get the shots tho after reading how some of you don't immunize every year. I will talk to my vet and see what he thinks. Thanks again for all your help and suggestions...they mean a lot. Anytime these babies are sick it is a load on our minds and hearts...to have you all share that means the world to me.

| Oh God! First mistake I made today was going to the vet! Seems like Oscar has been eating something in the yard he shouldn't and it has his tummy upset. No more off lead romps in the yard for him. His stool was really sticky and he felt he might be constipated. They stuck what seemed like a huge thing up his hiney to get a sample and he screamed bloody murder! He told me to give him 1/4 of a Pepcid AC and Pedialyte for 24 hours along with a bland diet...soft scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, velveeta cheese - stuff like that. I scrambled him an egg when I got home and will get his Pepcid and Pedialyte this afternoon when I go into town. He said for the gas to give him Simethicone - for babies - the drops. But what really made me mad was when I questioned him about vaccines...he treated me like I was totally ignorant and said I was online way too much...said breeders did not know what they were talking about when they said small dogs should not get Lepto...said the danger of Rat Fever is much greater than a danger of a reaction from the vaccine especially when we live out in the country and see mice evidence all the time. We did not get shots today because he was sick, but even if I decide to get them, I don't think I will go back to him. I mean he said he would give him a shot without Lepto...said he does it all the time...so why was he so rude? And then he asked what I fed...I said Royal Canin 33 and he said I fed him TOO GOOD...where does he come off? I try my best to give him the best...am I wrong...I am in tears here...and Oscar still feels bad...What am I to do?

| You could give him cottage cheese too. I gave that to my dogs when they were sick and they loved it. My vet gives the Lepto too. He said there have ben cases of it in my area so it is necessary.

| Yeah...he said cottage cheese too....I don't have a problem with giving the Lepto...it was just the way he delivered it to me that got me riled I guess...He was just too blunt for my taste...when my feathers lay back down I will feel better!

| Thanks Shelly...he is so pitiful. Dewaine's Mom came over a few minutes ago and Oscar did not go crazy like he always does...he is just moping around. I am sure he will be fine, but I just feel so bad for him when he is like this. I take back everything I ever said about him settling down! He can be just as crazy as he wants to be from now on!
