| Gucci ate a piec of poison for mices I need help. I don't know when but Gucci ate a piece of poison, the kind that looks like a green block. I found a little piece on her mouth, I wash her mouth and took the little piece out of her mouth. She seems fine. But I dont know what to do. I dont even know where she got it from. I called poison control but they request a $55 dollar consultation fee which I dont have at this time. Please pray for my girl. I will keep you all posted. |

| Oh my gosh...I hope she'll be okay. I think you should call your vet! I did a search for poison control and came up with the one that charges $55, so I can't help you there! Please check with your vet...I'm worried about little Gucci!

| OH please try to find an emergency vet asap...there has to be one close to you.....I hope Gucci is ok. Your vet doesn't have an answering service or anything....being in NYC--there has to be an ERVet near you somewhere....

| I really don't know, but maybe it would help if you could induce vomiting using a tablespoon or two of hydrogen peroxide.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Find the box that the poison came in and see what remedy they suggest for ingesting it. It might be to induce vomiting. Then again, it might not. You might also find the active ingredient and google it for help. But please at least call an emergency vet right away. This is not about money.

| What I understood was Marie doesn't know where she got the poison, so she probably wouldn't have the box to look at. I hope that neighbor that doesn't like Gucci didn't do anything! I'm busy sewing, but had to come take a break to check on little Gucci! I'm worried sick!

| I agree with what everyone has had to say. It's been a few hours since you first post and I really hope your yorkie is ok! Please don't take this as me being judgmental because in no way is it meant that way. I keep my vets number and the emergency vets number in my study in a quick to find space. I also have them programmed in my cell phone. Please let us know how the two of you are doing. I just read Connie's post and I'm worried too. If you have no poison in your place and a neighbor that doesn't like your yorkie please contact the police. I've heard too many stories like this... Last year in Toronto we had someone putting poison in meat and leaving it in parks. There are a lot of sick people out there. Last edited by Harbinger; 03-18-2006 at 04:47 PM. |
