| Gorilla Glue Emergency!!! Harley got Gorilla Glue on his face and side!!! I had no idea what it was until I went to brush it off and it almost broke the comb!!! Apparently my dad was gluing a chair together and left it on the floor with the clamp on it and Harley investigated! He had it all over his lips and on his hair around his muzzle.. So I had no choice but to cut it all off.. I did my best to make it look "OK".. yea right.. bald spots much?!? And I had to cut some of his whiskers off too.. and a few even pulled out completely on their own! But he didn't even cry.. I was really suprised about that.. By the way the glue had dried all along his lips I got the impression that he ate some of the glue, even if it was only a small amount. Gorilla glue usually takes a really long time to dry so I think he's had it on him for a good 3 hours.. And as of right now he's acting normally.. But I'm going to have him sleep in my bed tonight so I can keep an eye on him and that way if anything does change during the night I'll be able to tell right away.. I'm worried.. He's in the kitchen eating some kibble right now so hopefully the bald spots will be the worst.. Sry it's been a while since I've been on YT.. My job at the kennel has been taking all my time.. but I love it..

Hey was today the day for everyone to glue with Gorilla glue? This is too funny, I don't have it in my hand any longer BUT I was on my porch (with Chloe) glueing a collection of broken stuff. I came in, showered & turned on my computer and was surprised to see the thread labeled Gorilla glue, curiosity made me click because I also had the glue out. In between reading this, I grabbed Chloe and checked................. NOPE no glue in her hair or mouth Pheeewww | |

| Another "Sticky" Story Ok, so I was going to PetSmart with Chizzie, she was a wee little thing and not enough hair to put up in the fancy bow I had just finished. Well, being the really smart person that I am, I decided to use the "hair glue". It is the stuff used for glueing hair extensions -- really good stuff.... I use it all of the time on the miniature horses, gluing in bows, ribbons, bell, etc. When I'm finished, the glue just combs right out of their manes and tails. Well anyway, we pulled into the Petsmart parking lot, I parked the car and whipped out the glue, popped a drop on the bow and stuck it on the itsy bitsy little rubber band holding up Chizzie's tiny little pony tail. Guys, it worked great, you should have seen her, she was sytlin'. Anyway when we got home I decided to take the bow/band out of Chizzies hair and guess what...... three hours later...... I had managed to completely destroy the bow and tease out the rest of the glue. The major factors here that I didn't consider were: 1) the difference in hair texture 2) working with a very sweet patient gentle little mare as opposed to working with 2 lbs. of terrible terrier terror. Do not try this at home..... it is not a good idea. |

Oh my goodness! I know how you feel.. Harley was ANYTHING but helpful while I was trying to remove the glue.. all of a sudden he transformed into the worst wiggle worm in history. This morning so far so good.. he seems 100% normal.. that is besides the fact that the left side of his muzzle is hairless and missing some whiskers..

| Chattiesmom: I just loved the "name " of your reply! I enjoy everyone's stories, I'm glad I joined but more glad I got Chloe now was happy to hear Harvey is fine Wonder if dogs remember like humans, if he saw a bottle next month, you guys think he'd do it again (after the hair brushing he had to endure) |
