| I can't stop crying.....I dropped her :-( OMG you guys..........today after getting Reese groomed I was getting out of the car and opened the back door to get my daughter out, lost my balance and dropped Reese from chest level onto our paved driveway .......totally hysterical I called the vet and rushed her in. She defecated and urinated on me and her tongue was hanging out and eyes in the back of her head.......I got to the vet as fast as I could. I was so hysterical I am almost embarrassed to go back to the vet. Anyway, they took her into the back and looked at her. She has hemmorging in her eyes, and they told me to watch and and sent me home with pain drops for her. They did give her a shot of pain meds. but she is just not acting right. I suppose the shock and pain med combo might be causing her to act this way, and she is probably really sore. They said thank god she didn't land on her head, she landed on her left side. The vet didn't even tell me what to look for as danger signs.....I feel so guilty and so so awful ! I don't know what to expect now ???? I feel like such a bad person......I can't believe I dropped my furbaby ! I love her so much and I am so sad this happened. Thanks for listening |

| Accidents happen sometimes. Don't be too rough on yourself even tho I know you are hurting and feel so bad. You did the right thing by rushing her to the vet. i had Ceeby jump from my arms at chest high and nearly landed on my concrete fireplace hearth. Scared the you know what out of me. His head missed it about one quarter of an inch. |

| Aww we get so sad when we accidentally do this stuff, and trust me WE ALLLLLLL have done stuff like this. I took a chunk out of Coco's ear when she was a pup, there was blood everywhere. It was an accident and you can't blame yourself, it's just an accident. If she continues to act funny I would get a second opinion, because I wouldn't trust a vet that didn't give you warning signs, and sends a hemorrheging (sp?) pup home. I don't know I could be wrong. I hope your baby feels better. Kisses to her from me and Coco and hugs to you.

| accident Did they xray to make sure she had no broken ribs ..I know you feel awful I am so sorry. Make sure she drinks..give her nutra-cal, give her some chicken if she is not eating. When I first read this post, I thought about her head..you are so lucky. Next time try putting her in a carrier for car rides. Try not to feel bad...I dropped one of my males once and broke his leg. |

| Please don't feel bad. Accidents can happen to anyone and everyone. Just monitor her carefully and nurse her back to health and give her all the love that she deserves. Hopefully, she'll bounce back in no time! |

| ohhhhhh poor baby! When Simon was little I did the same thing, and yes I went to the vet and I felt horrible! My vet told me he was shocked, sore and the pain meds would cause him to act abnormal for awhile. I stared at him all night making sure he was ok and the next day he was limping a little but playing again! I hope your baby is ok, you are not a bad mama!!! Just keep a close eye on her and let us know how she is doing! |

| I dropped Susan on her head on the hard tile of the dining room when she was about 3 months old -- at about 3 lbs. Scared me to death. Took to her to the vet and got some sort of medicine -- I've forgotten what -- to reduce swelling in case her brain swelled. But she was fine. I hope your baby will be too. I felt terrible, and I know you do, but sometimes you just can't stop something from happening. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Bless your heart....I know you feel terrible but that can happen in a blink of an eye and so far it sounds like you were lucky ....You could have fallen ON her or she could have hit headfirst...it could have been so much worse...but any accident is very tramautizing....and I feel so bad for both of you.... I truly hope she is going to be ok .....That had to be awful and you did the right thing going straight to the vet...you are NOT a bad mom....you just had an accident and they happen to us ALL..... IF there is a 24 hour hospital nearby you may want that phone number handy....and you can always call someone to see what to look for...or someone here can help you.... Hang in there and lots of well wishes for your baby...Please let us know how she is ? |

| Oh, I'm so sorry that happened, but please don't blame yourself. It was an accident, and unfortunately, accidents do happen. I sure hope and pray that your furbaby will be OK. Please keep us posted.
