| Sick Daffni! Hello everyone, I am new to the site. My wife and I are both in college and are therefore not able to spen a large amount of money on a vet visit unless absolutley necessary. Our Yorkie Daffni is almost a year old now, she is about 8 lbs and plays alot. She has been on a regular diet from the time we got her right after she was born. A few days ago she started going to the bathroom repeatedly throughout the night in the bathroom where she sleeps. This had not happened before. She eats and plays as normal but would use the bathroom several times at night. That occured for around 2 days then stopped, but now she is throwing up and has been all day. Tonight we even spotted a small amount of blood. Is there anything we can do or is this more serious than we think. Anything you can offer we would really appreciate. ~New yorkie parents K & S |

| I think that you should take her to the vet just in case. A few weeks ago my little girl was sick and started pooping blood I took her to the vet immediatly and she got put on some meds and it only cost me 38 dollars. Hopefully she will be ok but I would just recommend you to get to the vet.

| Your baby does need to go to the vet. Bloody vomit or stool are not to be fooled with. Oh. lordy, do I know about that stuff. This past week + I have bought half of the vet hospital with the money from my 10 bouts of diarrhea...Make that my dogs' bouts. Hubby had to be at hosp last Thurs at 8 am in Balto and I made him leave early so we could take dogs/pups in to be left at the vet for fluids and just for my peace of mind. We are finally getting settled down. Only one had coccidia but the others were stressed because one of my Biewers went to stud and that affects the pack order. Anyhow, better to take your baby as soon as you can cause it will save in the long run.. BTW, WELCOME to YT.../We are here for you.. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali had that 2 weeks ago and now Maya my pom had something similar. I took Cali to er vet and spent alot more. Maya was seen by our regular vet and with meds, shot and visit it was 97.00. A lot cheaper than CAlis' visit. I would definately get her in as soon as possible. Maybe you can call your vet for advice.

| Please let us know what the vet says. You really need to get medical help for this. Not to be messed around with.

| It really sounds like she needs to see a vet. I know some times it can take a lot out of our pockets. But its better to be safe. |

| Please step right up and explain to the vet that you have very little money - ask him to help you try and keep the expenses down as much as possible. He/she will do that. Carol Jean |
