| Tired of the same old food everyday ? My yorkie is 7 yrs. old and is on special food for his liver shunt. He gets canned 2x a day mixed with cottage cheese. Hard is left out at all times. Every year a couple of times he stops eating his soft. Acts normally just appears to be bored with his food. I researched liver shunt diets and found some homemade recipes. The first 2 days he scarfed it down in no time. The next day he looked at it and walks away. He always looses weight when we have this problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

| I think that maybe you should just keep changing it up a bit. I dont really know about the LS diet. what kind of wet food does he get. Merricks has so many varieties that mine never get bored, but if they do while Im still on a specific can I will take the solid gold freeze dried buckaroo beef (which is kind of high in protein so i dont know if this would be good for you) but I just sprinkle a really tiny bit on there and they scarf it down. Just a suggestion , I hope it helps. Good luck hun.

| Kobe is on the Hills Prescription L/S. The problem is that I can't change the food due to his problem. But I have tried mixing different things into it. We try to stay away from all red meat. He is just a very picky eater. But the little stinker never gets tired of his treats. I just worry when I see that he has lost a little weight. |

| Oh I know they are already so tiny to begin with...and it is real scary to see them lose the weight. Are there any super healthy treats around that would keep her weight up but still be really good for her? Just a thought....

| My dogs just don't like dog food. About the only dog food I have found that they will eat is Premium wet food. I do leave dry IAMs out all the time. If they get real hungry, they will eat some of this. They do like people food -- of course! I feed them their Premium in the mornings only (and not a lot). They can snack on their IAMs dry food all day - and I give them people food in the evening. Of course, they love any leftovers I have, but they also like carrots, chicken, other meats, eggs, cheese, rice, etc.---and a lot of other foods. Neither of my dogs is overweight and they are happy, healthy, and very playful. I think my dogs are spoiled - and I did it. But, I know they like a variety of foods and aren't good about eating the same food day after day. Good luck! Carol Jean |
