| Acid stomach question My Libby 6 years 3 lb. She has thrown up that yellow bile in the morning a few days. She has rumbling stomach and lack of appetite. She has eaten some rice and egg and chicken broth in mornings and by dinner eating a regular meal but I still feel her rumbling belly when I rub her stomach. Does anyone know a type of anti acid to give her and how much for her size? By the way her poop isn’t runny. Thank you for any information |

| Usually bile means an empty stomach. She is tiny....when was she last seen by her vet? I would call the vet at the very least for suggestions.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | When did this start? Did you change foods...? What are you feeding her? I can help you, but want to know a bit more about what's going on here first .

| It started about 4 days ago. I was giving her regular food. However, had company and she may have been fed meatloaf. I have now given her chicken broth. Also have made minute rice made w/ chicken broth. Scrambled egg with a little cheese for taste. (She’s used to eggs. I make eggs for my dogs probably 3-4 times a week ) I have vet appointment on Friday if she’s any worse I can get her in earlier with different Dr. She seemed better yesterday and was playing and barking but had a little yellow puke again this morning. I did give her some food before bed last night like was told when I called vet yesterday. |

| Perhaps Pepcid would help. I give 1/4 of a 10 mg famotodine tablet (pepcid). You really should ask the vet first though.

| Thank you. I will ask Dr tomorrow when we go in. She’s back to normal now (I hope). She didn’t throw up this morning. She also ate all of her breakfast. I did feed her something last night before bed. These little ones can get ill quickly and it’s frightening because they don’t have extra weight to loose. Wondering if some kind of bug. My cocker spaniel threw up bile the same day Libby started but was fine after that |
