Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Marcel - Limping in 2 Legs, Weight Loss...? Valley Fever...? Hi all - my poor little Marcel - something is wrong ! Sunday I noticed he was limping in his right front - we inspected all over but found nothing. Monday morning it was still going on, so we went to the vet. Because there is seemingly no explanation for the limp, we thought it best to check for Valley Fever and do a super comprehensive blood panel. He's also had some weight loss - which I started noticing about 3 weeks ago. I haven't changed his diet - and he's been eating the exact same amount as always. Then yesterday afternoon, I noticed he was starting to limp on his back left. I left a message for the vet. I expect I'll get the bloodwork results today or tomorrow. Does anyone have *any* other ideas....? Please keep him in your thoughts ! Save

| Although rare in Arizona, Lyme Disease is another possibility. The symptoms don't quite match Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever... |

| Did you check inside his ear for any ticks? Turbo was vomiting & I saw a little dot inside his ear flap & it was a tick! It was still very flat looking, so I think I found it in time...once removed, Turbo was fine, no more throw ups. Whatever it is, hope you'll find an answer & it's nothing serious...hope Marcel will be back to his cute-self very soon!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I was wondering about this too, after I left the vet! I will ask her about this when she calls me...

| Just seeing this! Poor little Marcel! This is horrible, Ann! I'm so sorry your sweet baby is going through such a bad time. I know you're sick with worry and I'm praying for him. Have your heard about the little girl who recently who suffered temporary paralysis - this little girl couldn't even stand - from an unknown tick bite? Have you checked every inch of him for ticks or evidence of a tick bite? If tick venom could paralyze a child, could an unfound bite cause neurological problems with little Marcel maybe? Tick bite temporarily paralyzes 3-year-old - CNN.com https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tick_paralysis Please, please keep us posted. xoxoxoxoxoxxoxo Hugs, love & all my support coming your way, Jeanie

| Been googling 'dog limping weight loss' and Lyme comes right up. That could be it. Hope Marcel gets some relief soon.
