| 7 Day old Yorkie with cleft palate. Not eating anymore from bottle. Good Morning, My yorkie had two puppies and 1 of them has a cleft palate. We took him to the vet at 5 days and the vet said to let him die but I refuse to give up. We started to bottle feed him but today he just stopped sucking on the bottle. He cries alot and I think its because he has air in his tummy. Im scared to tube feed him. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We keep him warm and feed him every 2 hours around the clock. |

| There are several threads on cleft palates, go into the SEARCH window top of screen right side....type in cleft palate, it will show all the threads. The very first one....user name is Breny had this very same issue. It is a long thread but may be just the help you need.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Please....do not let this baby suffer. Please. Either learn to tube feed immediately or do the kind thing and euthanize him .

| Another option.....ask your vet about putting a feeding tube in.
