| Apoquel and blood test Hi all I wanted to know if any of you who use Apoquel for allergies, do your Vets require blood tests. Poor Bella has itched half of her top knot off. Prednesone works but its not good to stay on that. Any info would be helpful |

| Callie is on Apoquel and we just do our normal yearly blood work. What kind of blood work are you referring to? Maybe allergy testing or something like that?

| My Diva is on Apoquel and has been for a couple of years. She had terrible allergies. Works great for her. There was no special blood work regarding the Apoquel.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | On apoquel here too, and no blood work ever required. I'd be questioning the vet.

| Yes I did question her it is for the red and white blood count after the first two weeks of being on it. It will only cost 25 $ but I dont like to take her through it if we don't have to. Thanks for all your responses |

| Well I guess it is what it is, but, my Cody never had to go back after taking the Apoquel for a couple of weeks. I see no harm in the blood testing for red and white blood count, always better to be safe. I also HATE to bring my boy in if it's not REALLY necessary. He gets so scared and pants soooo hard. I hate the stress he goes through.
