| My Gabby Ate Child's Med....HELP! My Gabby just ate 2 of my daughter's chewable amoxicillin tablets. (total, 500mg). Gabby is now about 4 1/2 lbs, and this happened an hour ago, and she's acting okay...... Should I be freaking out? I wasn't sure, since being an antibiotic, that it would really hurt her, but I just don't know. And, of course, there are no vets open around here until 11am!!!!!!! I have given her food, and so she has eaten some this morning. Thanks for any and all information! |

| I would be in a panic also .... if there is no emergency vet, perhaps poison control?? Hopefully, it won't hurt little Gabby, but you do need to find out. Please keep us updated! Try not to worry.

| I can't see Ammox. hurting your baby......but since it's a Rx medicine it's still quite a scare. I'd call your vet as soon as they open. Until then, closely monitor her activity/behaviour and make sure she acts ok. Even if Gabby acts fine, still call your vet but you may not have to take her in. I'm sorry and hope everything turns out ok!

| I just got in touch with a vet!!! He said that she should be fine.. *relief* He said that if she had any kind of urinary tract infection that I wasn't aware of, that well, her taking that medicine probably just cured it...haha Thanks for the advice friends! |

| Here's Something That Might Help You And Some People Also. When My Yorkie Ate Chocolate I Contacted My Vet , He Told Me To Put A Cap Full Of Peroxide In Her Mouth She Would Start Throwing Up Right Away And, Whatever She Had In Her Stomach Would Be Right Up. I Did It And It's True Indeed. So Whatever You Puppy Has Ate If You Catch It Right Away, You Can Try That It Worked 4 Me. |
