Sneezing, wheezing, stuffy nose! My poor baby Mia has been dealing with a collapsing trachea since I got her. Within the past 6 months I have noticed she has been sneezing and sounds like she always has a stuffy nose. I occasionally give her benadryl and it seems to help a little. Does anyone have any ideas of what is going on or what I should do for her? She just turned 11 and is the sweet lover of the bunch and she also has the smaller facial features from the .. any input is appreciated. This seemed to start when we moved, they have been in this home before and I completely renovated it before we moved in.

Sounds like she may be having allergies to something. You say that you renovated ? Did you put down any new carpet ? If yes then you need to vacuum , vacuum, vacuum to remove all the loose carpet fibers & dry glue particles. Also she may need to see the vet for a diagnosis.

YT 500 Club Member | My yorkie also sounds congested. I can't tell if it is his nose or throat the noise I hear. He also has trachea problems. He is 1 1/2. I notice it more when he has an episode of throwing up yellow bile. How old was your baby when you got her |

Any type of Acid Reflux can cause congestion. Throwing up yellow bile is caused by an empty tummy. You need to feed more often & if this is happening 1st thing in the A.M. then be sure to give a snack just before bed time as often these little ones can't go for more then 4 to 6 hrs with no food. I feed 3 times a day then they get a snack at bed time as I have 2 that get that Acid tummy.

Sometimes Yes they get congestion. The reflux comes clear up into their sinuses, not just up in the throat. This often happens to humans as well, especially night time reflux. We don't have the reflux issue since we give snacks at bedtime now. This is kind of a common issue , not JUST with yorkies but lots of dogs especially little dogs.
