| Cough/hack Hi guys, I have a lovely boy called jazz he is 12 months old but has started coughing then tries to be sick, this does not happen after excercise and he can wake from sleep to cough, he sleeps a lot, The vet said he has lost 100g of weight also. Vet gave some Zantac to line throat and stomach and if no better in a week bloods and X-rays. He said get a video so I have. Any advice please. Worried sick. Don't know how to post the video. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcomt to YT . Did he recently have the kennel cough / bordetella vaccine? If so, he probably caught the actual cough from that. Sounds kind of like kennel cough to me...?

| He has had all the normal inoculations, he has not been in kennels. I have a vid but not sure how or if I can upload it. I have noticed dried White mucus in his bed. Thank you for your reply. Last edited by Sasha2010; 01-12-2016 at 05:15 AM. |

YorkieTalk Newbie! | My 4 month old pup had the same symptoms and is currently taking antibiotics for kennel cough. He got 2 antibiotic shots and 3 breathing treatments so far. I would ask about kennel cough for sure |

| Cough stopped, think he must have had something irritating his throat. But both still being very fussy and won't eat. Out of ideas now and have changed food three times but they just sniff then leave it. I have even tried warming it up. Wetting it down giving both wet and dry and mixed. I have resorted to boiling chicken. What else can I do?? Thanks for replys |
