| HELP...upset stomach Hi everyone, My puppy Coffee is 8 months old. I found some wooden pieces from the old puppy food (Purina Pro Plan) last week and immediately went to a pet store and purchased a new brand (Blue Buffalo Wilderness). Due to those tiny wooden pieces found, I threw away all the old dog food and gave Coffee the new one. (I know I should switch the old and new food slowly but I didn't want my pup to eat those low quality dog food especially I found those tiny pieces) Few days after the immediate change of the food, Coffee started to have loose stool. Her poops were very normal until tonight I knew it is because of the sudden dog food changing but I had thrown away all the old dog food. What should I do now? Should I fasten her for a day or give her some bland food like porridge before she had been fully treated by the upset stomach? I appreciate for all the help. This is my first time owning a dog without much knowledge and experience. Thank you so much! |

| If you really think it is from the food change then I would go buy a small bag of the old dog food and gradually change her food. An abrupt change of food like that will cause havoc with her system. Just make sure to go through the old brand looking for any impurities before you put it in her bowl.

| The only other suggestion I can think of is for you to feed her bland food like boiled chicken breast & rice. After she's better, slowly introduce the new food. |
