| EATING ground moles ! Since I have moved to Florida to care give for my elderly mother. We purchased her 2 Corky pups 1 boy. (Buddy) 1 girl (Suzie) from the same litter. its like they are almost twins. But Buddy has been digging up and eating ground moles. Buddy and Suzie are almost a year old. they have food and eat well but Buddy is a Mole chaser. and Gecko killer. We live in Central Florida. he may have eaten a Gecko or 2 as well. Is this an instinctive thing for these Terriers to be Rodent chasers and Killers? |

| I am sorry.......did you mean "Corgi"? If not, what is a "Corki"? I do not know if this predator drive is instinctive to a "Corki"....I know my brother's collie and and his shepherd mix both used to dig up moles in his yard and kill them.... I do think I remember reading about poisonous Geckos in Florida.....check into that and watch them carefully! I know there is a toxic frog/toad there that will kill a dog..... |

| If there is any terrier in your corkie, then yes, the prey drive is exceedingly high in these little critters. Digging or going into a hole to kill whatever lives there is the most instinctual drive that this class of dog has.
