| snoring at rest and when sleeping My yorkie is 14, she has always snored when she sleeps. Now she is making a snoring noise when she is laying down at rest. She still runs around and is playful, eats, and drinks. It just started last night. Was curious if anyone else has had this happen to their yorkie, and what is is. Thank you, Kerri |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT . It could be that she has allergies and her throat/nose is dry...do you see any other signs of allergies? Otherwise, it could also be age related. Just be sure the noise isn't sounding like wheezing / difficulty breathing, ya know...? If that would be the case, you'd want to get to the vet asap. At any rate, you may want to have a vet check it out anyway...if you do, make sure you capture the sound/breathing on your phone's video so that you can show the vet...as she may not make the sound while at the vet's office.

YT 500 Club Member | My maltese had a collapse trachea since she was a puppy and when she got older she would make that noise and it was her heart pressing against her trachea making her do it. Does he have a collapse trachea or does he cough? |
