| A worm in her food!! What to do? I found a worm or larvae in Moxie's canned wet food (after I had already given her some). I don't know if it's a tapeworm, a heartworm, a maggot, etc, but I am freaking out. Does she need to go to ER vet? I took a picture and e-mailed it to the vet, but she won't see it until tomorrow. Thank you. |

| The thought of a maggot in my dogs food makes me want to hurl. And people wonder why I would choose only companies with tight quality control like Royal Canin.

YT 1000 Club Member | That is absolutely disgusting. I agree with Phil, after you've contacted your vet I would call the company and raise all kinds of hell. Do you mind posting the brand of food it was? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Make sure you take a picture of the food, the lot # / label, and that maggot or worm. Most likely it's a maggot. And OMG MAGGOTS FREAK THE LIVING HECK OUT OF ME TO THE NTH DEGREE!!!!!! I would call the vet and ask what you should do in terms of whether your kiddo needs to be seen.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | You said you found the worm after you had given her some, was it the same day you found the worm or the next day?
