| My baby is hurt. I don't know what happened but my little 6 pound poodle brother of Mickey is crying when I pick him up. He is eating good and doing okay in the bathroom department. His nose is cold and wet but he seems to be in pain. I went to the store and came home to find him like this. He went for a walk with us, but yelped when he jumped down off the couch. It seems to be in his hind quarters. Any ideas what may have happened?

| Poor Mickey! Could be a back problem or even something internal, abdomen. Definitely need to see the vet asap. I would keep him quiet, limit activity, no jumping. Sending positive thoughts.

| Poor baby. I agree with Kristen I would run him into the Vet and get him checked out. Hope everything turns out ok.

| If it is towards the butt it could be back legs (knees, ankles), hips, lower back, or abdomen. Vet ASAP. Keep quiet until then (no running, jumping, playing, stairs, walks).

| Sorry to be so slow with the update. We just got back from the vets and he x-rayed him and found nothing so he decided it must be a soft tissue injury. He gave him a shot and some pain meds and said to keep him quiet. He is doing so much better now. I gave him a shot of Meloxicam at 4:40 this a.m. and he gave him another kind and some pill form meds to keep him comfortable, so he feels much better. We think our malti-poo jumped on him and injured his back, like bruised it. He weighs almost 9 pounds and Mitchell is only 6 pounds and very small boned poodle. Mickey has been consoling him all morning. Thank you for your suggestions and your concern. I worry so much about my little dogs.
