| Lump in Baileys eye! I am seriously so upset. We found a lump in Bailey's eye. We took him to the vet and three doctors looked at it and decided the best thing to do was take him to a specialist. I can't get in until after the Thanksgiving holiday. This is what the Dr. Wrote on the referral. "Pink mass on lateral sclera of left eye. Appears raised and non irritating on PE no other abnormalities on optho examination." He doesn't seem bothered by it at all. At first I thought maybe he was scratched while playing with Oliver but the lump got bigger within a few days so we took him to the vet. I've googled lump on eye a million times and found everything from cancer to an auto immune disease. I'm really hoping this is not serious. When I was leaving my vet they mentioned...we do eye removal here if needed! Has anyone had an experience with anything like this. I tried to search the forum but I can't get it to work on my kindle. I'm devastated for my beautiful boy! He's only 2 years old! What can this be?

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Just remember don't get ahead of yourself. It could very well be something innocuous, and the specialist should be able to clearly advise you if that is so. Hang in there until you go to the specialist. At least he doesn't appear to be in any pain, and the eye is not tearing up etc. I do know how hard it is to wait to find out what is going on. Enjoy your holiday weekend and try not to stress out too much.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You sound so worried, I'm so sorry. Take some deep breaths and try to hang in there until you get in to the specialist. It could really be nothing and/or just a benign cyst of some kind. Our fingers and paws are crossed for the best outcome!!

| Thanks for your kind and reassuring words. I found a promising article that makes me feel a little better. Red Eye (Episcleritis) in Dogs It describes almost exactly what's in his eye! I will try and post a picture later. He seems ok and doesn't bother with it. He's just the sweetest boy! I knew I could come her to talk about it and get some much needed support so thank you so much!

| Poor Bailey. Praying the lump is something benign that can be fixed easily. I can imagine how anxious you are to see the specialist. Looking forward to your updates.
