YT 500 Club Member | Tonsillitis Has any ones dogs every had tonsillitis. My dog has been gagging when he growls lately and he has not really wanted to eat his hard food for the last week. He will eat it but he only picks on it and usually he gobbles it up. Any one know what the symptoms are. |

| Your pup needs to see the vet. Max had a sore throat once. He was gagging so hard I thought he was choking and we took him to the ER. He required an antibiotic to recover. The sooner you see the vet, the better. Small problems can grow into bigger problems. He is in pain if he is refusing his regular hard food.
