| Reaction to Vaccination Hi there, I'm a new inexperienced mom. My 15 weeks old puppy had her shots this morning. She was somewhat playful today. Now all of a sudden pretty lethargic. She's been in her crate for two hours, napping. Tried to ease her out of her crate, she's not interested. Not hungry or thirsty. Any advice would be appreciated. |

| What vaccination(s) did she have? Sometimes a shot tires them out (especially rabies for my ZoE). And just a visit to the vet some dogs find stressful, and that tires them out, especially at a young age. Has she been eating and pottying ok, since the vet visit?

| I agree with Karan, could just be normal tiredness from the vaccination and the vet visit. Check her gums -- are they moist and pink? If they are sticky and very pale or white, that is cause for concern. You can coax her to drink with water on your fingers. Also watch for swelling in the face or difficulty breathing. For safety's sake, do you know the way to your nearest pet ER? Which vaccinations did she have today?

| Yes, I called Vet and she said this can happen. Just to let her rest. She ate some and went back to bed. Didn't even pee after eating. She's just snoozing in her comfy crate. She had distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, bordatella. One was through the mouth and one injection. Thank you so much for your reassurance. She's never acted like this before. Normally so much energy |
