| Something wrong with my dog's ear It doesn't seem to bother her much so i haven't rushed to the vet yet. She's 11 years old and we live in Los Angeles. Any idea what it might be? It flakes a bit when i scratch it. http://i.imgur.com/mabcP5N.jpg |

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Your pup definitely needs to see a vet. She has an infection. Medication should take care of it easily. If not treated, it will get worse. Yorkie Haven Rescue has a girl right now who had to have a total ear ablation because of an untreated infection. Keep us updated.

| PLEASE take your girl to a vet! Read the following thread and make a promise not to let what happened to Josie, happen to your girl. Josie is recovering but one side of her face is paralized and she cannot blink and her ears stick out to the side. She won't ever look the same as she did in the first picture on the thread I am sharing with you. Of course she is now pain free and that is what is important. Ear infections HURT and lead to major damage if left untreated! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...going-vet.html So glad you found YT! Please let us know how it goes.
