YorkieTalk Newbie! | MVD - elevated bile acid Hello my nine month old puppy had routine blood work which did include a bile acid test, blood CBC panel was normal bile acid test was fasting # 2 and pos #43. my vet said this is an incidental finding she is fine right now no symptoms so based on the number they automatically call it i MVD -- they said right now it's not necessary to spend money on ultrasounds etc. she did have full xrays all clear, she has no symptoms,, they said not to even change diet shes currently on puppy royal canin. She has seen a board certified internal medicine specialist that says unless she starts to show sings do nothing. Many yorkies have elevated levels that can stay that way forever if they continue to show no signs, make no change. but i feel unsettled |

| If you've been to an IMS I think you're fine. Enjoy your puppy, you sound like a wonderful owner.
