| facing 2 surgeries My 3 year old yorkie Lou Lou has torn her CCL and has possible luxating patella, so just waiting for appointment with Orthopod...She had her CCL repaired on ger other leg 2 years ago...My 7yr old setter Sophie is having surgery tomorrow to remove a mammary tumour. Hoping it is benign. to top it all I am awaiting date for echo stress test and angiogram.... Shirl |

| Oh no Shirl, I'm so sorry you and the pups are going through so much, did they say why/how she got a mammary tumor? You must keep us posted, sounds like your doing all the right things for the pups, make sure you do the right things for yourself as well..

| Mammary tumours are fairly quite common in bitches over 6 years. Poor Sophie has been through so much. About 18 months ago she had bloat and torsion of her stomach 3 times in 8 months which is the mother of all emergencies which required emergency surgery. She hates the vet now...and I don't blame her. |

| Sophie is now recovering after her surgery on Tuesday. She is feeling very down at the moment which is not surprising. She is on antibiotics and an analgesic which look like they are meant for horses! She has a large incision which extends to her groin so it must be sore...Just need to await the pathology report. Next is Lou Lou's op for her CCL on Monday.. Thank goodness all my 4 dogs are insured! Shirl |
