| At the ER with my DaVinci DaVinci jumped off the couch and landed funny, his left front leg twisted or something. He immediately limped over to me and was whimpering. He wouldn't put weight on it at first. Now his limping but definitely walking around a bit. We are waiting to see a Vet at the ER. He's definitely favoring his paw and I didn't want to risk him doing more damage by waiting until the morning to see his regular vet. |

| The ER vet just took him in the back to do an orthopedic exam. I will post back when I know more. Thank you for your prayers. |

| Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes. DaVinci is doing good, it appears to be a soft tissue injury, he didn't cry or anything during the exam. The vet checked his leg thoroughly, no dislocation, no quivering while being examined, and no bone abnormalities or break could be felt. The vet felt comfortable treating him with pain medication and rest. Since he wasn't crying in pain we decided to not do x rays for now and give him a few days to see if he shows signs of improvement. I don't want to expose him to radiation so I will see how he is over the next few days. If he shows any sign of worsening or no improvement I will bring him back for x rays and go from there. Thank you for your concern and I will post back if there are any changes. |

| Very happy to hear the vet does not think anything is broken. Praying rest and pain meds will be all that is needed for DaVinci.

| Sounds like the vet was a bit hindered due to your fear of xrays. I would hope he attempted to assure you that it is not that harmful. I would personally rather be safe than sorry. There is no way as you know to definitively say there is no fracture without an xray. I do hope it is not fractured. | You're entitled to your opinion, I don't like to expose myself to radiation and I don't believe it's harmless. I did not discuss my feelings on radiation with the vet. I asked him if he thought that x rays were needed actually because he kept talking about treating him with rest and pain meds. He did inform me that there is a small possibility of a hairline fracture but he really didn't believe that to be the case based on his exam. We also discussed bringing him back in the morning for x rays to confirm there isn't a break if he is still limping tomorrow. While we waited to see a Vet, we waited for over an hour, everyone witnessed him walking around quite a bit. He wasn't crying or shaking, yes he was favoring it but he was putting a considerable amount of weight on it. As I type he is walking around eating kibble, he is walking pretty good. He's favoring it and if he is limping tomorrow when we wake up I will calling the Animal Hospital and scheduling an appointment during regular hours and see their Ortho. |

| So sorry to hear of his fall, but it was really good that you immediately took him to the vet. Hope it isn't serious, and hope he heals quickly and all gets back to normal. When my Tiki was little she fell off the bed and tweeked a leg, but the vet determined nothing was broken. She limped a bit for around a week, but then was fine.

| I agree about dogs hiding pain100%. It was a no brainer to take him right away and if he wakes up limping and favoring his leg I will definitely be returning to x ray his leg. Thank you for your concern and I will post back in the morning, I am going to try to get some sleep. |

| Good news, Davinci isn't limping or favoring his leg at all this morning. He's been his normal self, I tried to keep him from being active and but it's impossible. I am not giving him anymore pain medication because he is running around with his little brother, my 15 week old Yorkie, he is getting on and off the couch without any trouble. Thank you everyone for your prayers. I am home with him and I will be keeping a very close eye on him for the next few days. |
