| Hi and welcome to YT. So sorry you and your Doodles are dealing with this. The main things to do besides medication, are to keep her cool and calm and keep her at her ideal body weight. I really don't have anything magical to offer. What I can tell you is that each case is different; and I have found that they each respond differently to different meds and protocols. There is stent surgery, but I personally don't have experience with it. I feel it just does not have the success rate that I am comfortable with. There are other people who may have experience with it and different opinions than mine. It is a very frustrating condition when a pup is having severe symptoms. If you can keep her symptom free it is best because the more they cough, the more irritated the trachea becomes. One interesting medication I have used is Lomotil. You may want to ask your vet about it. Again, welcome to YT.

| I'm curious if Doodles has improved a lot after the surgery? I've heard mixed views of the results, and have wondered how much it helps. I'm wondering if you feel the surgery had a positive outcome? I'm sending prayers and wish your Doodles years of health & happiness!!
