| Rear Right Leg Limp Hello, good morning all. I have not posted here in such a long time. About 3 weeks ago my Yorkie Chanel a 9.4lbs, was walking behind my dad and she squealed and we noticed she fell sideways on her rear legs. We grabbed her and placed her the bed and massaged her legs and she started to walk with A LOT of caution. She was no longer able to go up 3 steps after going outside. But little by little it got better and was back to her old self. Yesterday evening, she got up, went outside with my dad and sat next to him. A bike passed by and she ran like always after the bike and all if the sudden she squealed really loud and came back limping. Now she walks with her left rear right leg curled up. I think she might up pulled a muscle. Anyone else experienced this? Any tips? Any home mess I can give? I read that I can not give Advil or ibuprofen. |

| Your pup needs to be seen by your vet! An orthopedic specialist may be needed but you can start with your vet. I see that you read that you should not give Advil or any other non steroidal anti inflammatories...let me repeat that so that all will see...over the counter meds such as Advil and Motrin will KILL a dog. Do not ever give them!! Matter of fact, you should not give her anything for pain that is not prescribed by a vet. This could be luxating patella that is flaring in which case she would be prescribed meds (Metacam and Rimadyl which are anti inflammatories for dogs are usually prescribed by vets) and put on crate rest, or it could be a torn CCL as pstinard mentioned. Could even be a fracture although that hopefully is less likely. No matter what, she needs to see a vet asap!! Good luck and please keep us posted.

| I agree with the above as well. The vet needs to be seen ASAP to see what's going on with her. Poor thing.

| I agree with the Vet visit and Orthopedic evaluation. This happened with my Buster and he was diagnosed with a luxating patella. Please update us, sending prayers for Chanel.
