| Yorkies with GME Lola who is now 3 yrs old and has GME. For the past 6 months she has been receiving 2 day treatments once a month. Her front left paw is sliding out on her. I was thinking of trying some water exercise to help strengthen it, but I don't know if it will do anything. Has anyone tried this for their dog? |

| Hi and Welcome to YT! So sorry about your pup. I would think to report this to your vet, as a change in meds may be indicated, if indeed this is a neurological issue and not an injury.

| Dear Lolpil" Hope Lola is ok. My yorkie was diagnosed with GME in Jan. Would like to know on what meds are Lola? Mine is on pred (140ml twice a day). He doesn't seem to get better and i'd want to know if anything else will help? I'm in SA, we don't have any other meds available yet |

| Lola is on 1mil of pred 2x a day but recieves Chemo every 30 days. By injection at the vets ... It is done in two consecutive days... Them she gets a blood test 10days after that treatment to check all her levels. The dr.just started her on gabapentin for pain... This a human dry like steroids and the vet can give it to u in liquid form... U can also buy in on line or Walgreens, target or drug store but they do not have liquid. Lola two more things ....denetyol for her liver, as steroids compromise the liver after long use (90ml) ,also available on line..... One more thing she takes is Pepcid for her stomach.... a quarter of a tablet twice a day .... All these things other than chemo r readily available..she has this 6 months already not 100% but doing ok.... A huge expense but hopefully we can continue this for her...p.s. she is 6/12 lbs. so he'd dose may be different than yours. What prognosis did your dr. Give u??? Good luck keep in touch |
