| Raw, red lump on Fletch's foot Noticed last night that Fletch has a big red raw bump on his foot, near his dewclaw. He chews his front paws sometimes, and I'm not sure if his chewing caused the bump or the bump is why he is chewing. I just noticed it this weekend for the first time. I always check the paws too bc he chews them enough for me to be concerned enough to check. This bump is new. We are off to the vet at 430 today, keep us in your prayers. I hope it's nothing major!

| My dog also has a huge lump on his paw. It's probably a grass seed which got infected. Sometimes they need to be surgically removed if it's deep inside the skin otherwise cream for the infection will do it |

| Vet thinks its a histiocytoma. Rare in older dogs, but not impossible. Benign tumor. She aspirated the lump and sent the cells to the lab. I should know for sure mid week. Can't wait to know.

| I need to stop reading!!!! LOL The thought of the bad 'C' word (cancer) is just something that I can't even imagine. I can't... I won't. To hear the vet say they want to rule it out made me feel like I was hearing her from a tunnel. My brain sort of exploded. I'll be in pins and needles until I get the results.

I know what you're going through waiting for the results, but rest assured, if it's histiocytoma, there's a 99% chance it's benign. I'm sure you know that, sometimes it just helps to hear it again Praying for good test results for Fletcher!

| Thanks everyone. I read all this stuff about cancer and amputating his leg, etc... I'm dying inside. I'm totally overreacting and exaggerating the situation for sure, blowing it up in my head. I'm trying to be positive though bc I do believe in the power of positive thinking.

| Jess had one on her chin, went away on its own. She actually just had a bacterial infection from paw licking too. It was all fine so try not to worry... |
