| my lallas needs help!! My 14 month old yorkie is so very fussy with eating! She is so thin, when we got her at 4 months, she was only 600 grams, and anarexic! She cost loads in vet bills! Now she is 1,8 kg, she is acting strange lately! She will start shaking and acting terrified, and its like she is scared of food! Iv tried home cooked, royal canin, hills. That is really the only good food in South Africa. I'm worried about liver shunt! I lost a yorkie last year, she was my baby! My world! I won't handle losing another one! Why the shaking and acting strange? And scared of food? I'm so worried to lose her |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am sorry your little one is not feeling well. If you haven't had a bile acid test done I would start there. Food may be making her feel ill. Hopefully the vet can come up with the cause. Pleas keep us posted on how she is doing.

| Thanks for the fast replies! I thought I would try anything last night! So I gave her some roast beef! She ate it like she never ate before! Also giving her a lot of nutristim, just to keep her strength up, I will give her some more beef just now, maybe she just wants meat? But I will try soften her pellets aswell, I bought her royal canin yorkie puppy again, she always liked that, but she seems to be sooo fussy!on friday I will be taking her for the tests also, right now she is terrorising my poor old maltese again!! She saw me take out the nutristim and decided it was his fault!! |

| try a little low sodium beef or chicken broth over the royal canin and warm it a bit. That worked for jess and I didn't have to give her meat all the time.. |

| Just got back from the vets with lallas, they took blood tests and they couldn't find anything wrong! But just in case she might have a sore tummy, the vet gave me some Flagyl, so I must give that to her for 7 days, if she still won't eat then I must take her back. So for now she is just an extremely picky eater! She ate a bit of boiled chicken and rice just now!! Yay! I asked about the acid bile test and he said that will be a last resort! Ill keep you all posted! Mwah!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am glad her blood work came back normal. If she continues to have the same symptoms and they didn't do a bile acid I would do that. I hope the medicine clears up the problem. Thanks for the update.
