| Puppy with heart murmur Hey guys, I bought a beautiful little female back in September. I took her for her health check at the vet and my vet found a grade 1 heart murmur. She told me not to worry about it and to bring her back in a few months for a check up. Well, she is 6 months old now and took her to the vet and she still has the murmur. She is a totally normal puppy with no symptoms. I did inform the breeder about it. Can anyone offer any advice?? I am afraid I may have to give her back to the breeder and I am very attached to her now.... I just do not know what to do. The vet still says not to worry, but it's hard because we lost our Hugo last year from CHF and he also had a heart murmur. She is just the sweetest little girl |

| Wow, after 6 months I am pretty sure I would have to take my chances and keep the pup. I would be so attached.

| Listen to youR vet. Grade I is the least dangerous of heart murmurs. When we first got Bubba he had kennel cough that led to pneumonia. Therefore his grade II was not heard on his original vet checks. Bubba is now 8yrs old (will be 9) in January. He is very active-squirrels are the enemy- and has no problems. The murmur is still there but does not effect his daily life.
