| Yorkie puking yellow My 7 month old pup Cookie (wieght: 6.5 lbs) puked up some yellow a few minutes ago. Not foamy at all, just yellow liquid, almost like a really thick urine. She has not eaten today and won't take her dog food right now, but I did get her to quickly eat a few squeezes of NutriCal. I checked her gums and they have her normal deep pink color and she is still jumping and running around like normal. We have recently been putting Purina Fortiflora probiotic on her dog food at our vet's recommendation, since a couple of weeks ago she was scooting her butt on the ground after pooping clear mucus every once in a while, and he wasn't sure if it was tapeworm or gastrointestinal (tapeworm didn't show up in the stool sample, but my vet says it doesn't always show up and I did see tiny white flecks in her poop before). I doubt it's the tapeworm med, since she took that pill on Monday. Any ideas? I have seen Cook puke up a little bit of white foam a couple of times when she didn't eat her breakfast, but never yellow liquid.

| I just gave Cook one of her bacon treats, which she gobbled up in no time flat... so maybe she just doesn't like the Fortiflora and that's why she won't eat her food right now.

| Is brown rice good? Or should it be white? Her anal gland was emptied Monday. She gets it emptied when we wash her on Mondays.

| Usually yellow barf is bile caused from an empty stomach. I must feed Zoey immediately after waking up in the morning or she will throw up stinky yellow bile.

Forti flora is a very well accepted probiotic (maybe bc it's got salt in it), it shouldn't give her any problems unless she's intolerant of something in it but that's highly unlikely. I don't give it to my guys just bc it's got 'animal digest' in it, it just grosses me out...rendered stuff. Also, I don't think salt should be in any probiotic...why is it in there, to entice the dogs to eat it. Anyway, rant over loll. What are you feeding her? What's her regular food?

| Looks like you have resolved the problem. I just want to add that brown rice, if not cooked very soft can cause irritation due to the extra fiber.
