| Please help! Hi everyone, Let me give you a little background about my furry babies, before any advice can be given. I had two Yorkie a 5 year old female (Destiny)and a 6 year old male (Monkey). This yearhas been a rollercoaster for my family, last September I became pregnant withmy second child and was in need of a bigger place. In January of this year I founda new place to live. In March, I was informed by management that no pets areallowed in the building and was threaten with eviction. This was a hugeheartbreak since I’ve had them since they were puppies. At this time I was 7months pregnant and I had to do what was best for my human babies. I had to find new homes for them, as hard asthis was I had to do it. I was able to place Destiny with a co-worker, wholater gave to someone else haven’t seen her since mid march. I was leftwith monkey who is about a pound or two and is not a big time barker and whenhe does bark it isn’t that loud. We kept him until a few days ago. We hadfamily visiting us for the summer and we thought it would be best to sendmonkey with them where he can be free and not have to be hidden. He left onThursday night. He made the trip from NYC to Miami, Florida on plane. As of Friday monkeyhas been experiencing all sort of problems. He doesn’t want to eat or drink. OnSunday, my poor monkey was so bad that he wasn’t responding. He was stiff, lifeless like. He was rushed to an emergency vet hospital. He was put on IV fluidsand he was improving, unfortunately I wasn’t able to afford an overnight stayand monkey went back to his new home. Vet told us that they did not find no persistand that he was under weight. Since then he still refusing food and he has tobe hand feed and all he wants to do is sleep. Yesterday I was informed by myfamily member that is stool appear to have blood and than his stool is soft.Since Sunday he has been eating soft food. Would anyone know if there might be something physically wrongor can this just be depression? Sorry for the long post. I no longer have himand its breaking my heart that I can’t be there for him when he needs me the most. Ihope my decision of giving him better place can be the worst decision I couldhave ever done. Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

| I'm sorry you are having to go through all this. I would turn him over to a reputable rescue so that he can get the medical help he needs, before it's too late. |

I wish you all the best. It must be terrible to be going thru this. You did what you thought was best for your babies. Can the people who have Monkey call around for small dog rescues where they are?

Do you know if blood work has been on him to see if there may be anything wrong? Also with all the stress and now having blood in the stool, I would have him checked for HGE which can happen when real stressed, and this can also be very dangerous.

| If you read the post, she no longer has him, she re-homed to a family member. I think this baby is very depressed since he has left the only owner he has known and now is in a different home enviroment.

BUT he has to remember this cam't be constantly used. This should help him get on track to start eating. Also he can try and use some Chicken Baby Food, or Boiled Bonless Chicken Breast on his food.

| Things has gone for the worst I found a coupon for a free vet visit/consultation and my poor baby is having kidney and liver failure. He is also having difficulty breathing. I was told that if I don't get him treated he will not make it through the night. I'm so heartbroken. The doctor believes he is severely depressed and is why he having so much complication. He will be stay overnight at the hospital and I will be praying for him to improve. I hope to hear better news tomorrow. |
