| I am very sorry for Snickers and you. Lots of lap time with massage, and stroller rides are the only things I can suggest. Best wishes for Snickers to make a full recovery.

| I have one who is recovering from leg surgery for a torn ligament. She is kept in her stroller and pushed from room to room....when I go out, I keep her crated. She is a wild child normally, but has adapted well to this. Good luck!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am sorry to hear about Snickers. When Pixie had her LP surgery I kept her confined in a little xpen and in a crate on my bed. I moved her from room to room with me. I also had the other 2 to keep her company.

| Poor Snickers. I can't imagine having to keep mine calm for 8-10 weeks. 18 pounds is not going to be easy to carry around either. I have never had to deal with this so I don't have suggestions, but I will be praying that Snickers recovers quickly. |

| I agree with Maximo and LadyJane - a stroller sounds like a great idea. Your sweet Snickers won't be isolated from the rest of the family that way. |

| So sorry to hear about Snickers. this happened to our baby boy last year. He also has a plate. We utilized the stroller and at night I held him and brushed him while we watched TV. Riley had to be crated for three months The vet also gave us a low dosage sedative to kind of take the edge off (he would get so excited and bang his splint on the bars of the crate) and that really helped him relax. Good luck to you. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Poor Snickers. Sorry to hear about his leg. You got some great advice about using a stroller. It gets him outside and enjoying time with you. Good thoughts go out to him for a speedy recovery.

| Sorry to hear about the broken leg, but it sounds like your vet is on top of the situation. I have read too many threads here where the vet tried casting 1st and 6 weeks later they still had to be plated with additional problems caused by the wait. I haven't been through this but both of my parents Cavalier King Charles spaniels had to hsve orthopedic surgery (one ACL repair, one dislocated hip with torn ligaments) and they basically kept them crated except for potty breaks and lovin' time. Funny, they wanted to keep each other company in the crate, so when the injured one was crated, the noninjured one was, too. Good luck and hope Snickers feels better soon!
