| George rushed to vet yesterday Worst afternoon for long time, had George at work with me, he went for a walk with his Dad but was very quiet and walked alongside instead of his usual run and check everything, then back to work and into his bed, next thing I heard this whimpering and he couldn't get up his back legs wouldn't respond, scooped him up and round to vet which is only meters away, seizure had stopped but he is badly dehydrated and vet said his tummy very tight, gave him a huge saline injection directly and a pain relief. If no improvement I have to take him back for bloods and xrays, well last night he slept and slept, quick walk this morning wees and sloppy poos but still not drinking or eating. I have him here in front of me at work again, wrapped up warm against our -2 degree Celsius frost, but he still wont eat or drink, should I wait and see if he improves this morning or should I take him back to vet. So worrying couldn't bear to lose my baby

| How old is George? I pray he gets better quick. If he is in pain then he might not want to eat. You might need to try hand feeding him some thing special. Also I would syringe water into his mouth. You can add a little corn syrup to the water. Also something like pedialyte would be good.

| George has had a bit of recovery, took him home at lunch time and he had a little to eat, used a syringe and got some tepid water into him, he went running to see Toby the dog next door which was a usual lunch routine and seemed to brighten up a bit. He had another little walk this afternoon and at moment is sleeping by my window watching people/car/dogs go by. I will be watching him really closely and no doubt another sleepless night. Will keep you all posted on his condition. Neighbor said there have been a couple of cases of Parvo in town lately but George is up to date with his shots so that shouldn't be a concern
