| Roundworm ! What was your experience ? ( gross ) My little Reese STILL has roundworm ! She went through one round of dewormer, and pooed a pile of worms over a week ago....well, today was her scheduled second round of dewormer - and this morning she pooed another worm with BLOOD !! - so right away I gave her the second dose . which was scheduled anyway ) I am wondering how much longer we will have to deal with these parisites ! I made an appt. today to see her vet. Just wonder what your experience with roundworm has been......... TIA :-) |

| It isn't uncommon for roundworms to re-infest younger puppies a few times even after they are wormed. The larvae are not always killed by the wormer and thats why you have to give them another dose or two sometimes. Almost all puppies are born with worms (the larvae) from their mother's milk ( even if mom doesn't have visible signs of worms) We usually don't see them because we start worming them at such a young age and we kill the larvae before they manifest into that spaghetti looking thing! |
