Best joint meds and Flea meds? Riley's vet told us we needed to start him on coseqin bc he has joint problems in his back legs. Problem is he didn't tell us which one to get. Riley is a little on the large side for a yorkie, he's pushing 12lbs and he's 5 years old, so can anyone give good advice on what the best joint medicine is for his size? Also best preventative flea medicine?

About the flea preventative, you will receive as many different responses as their are Yorkie owners, but I like Revolution because it also controls heartworms and dog ticks and is also a dewormer, and they make a small puppy version that my Bella tolerates without any problems.

Toki gets Dasuquin for her joints...same company that makes Cosequin...both are good. Both of my pups get Sentinel for heartworm (also helps with fleas, whipworm, hookworm, roundworm protection) and K9 Advantix II (ticks, fleas, mosquitos). There are a lot of good options out there...just gotta find one that works for your dog!
