| Dudley is getting worse! I haven't been here for awhile but need some help with prayers for my little guy. He got sick with melamine poison about 5 years ago which my vet says has led to kidney failure about 3 years ago. With loving care and coaxing him to eat he has survived pretty well. Now, though, he has liver problems also and his bad episodes are coming almost every weekend. He is taking Milk Thistle for liver and something for his tummy. He has lots of gas. That seems to be helping but I wonder how much I should put him through. He was a gift from my late husband before he died, so that I wouldn't be alone. It is like losing my husband all over again. I don't want to make him suffer though if I should let him go. He was a robust little 4 1/2 pounder and now weighed 3.08 pounds and I can feel his bones. Last night he came up the stairs and started limping so it looked as though he had something in his back foot but nothing was there. He is almost 10 years old (Sept. 2) and very spoiled of course. I don't have a lot of money to keep taking him to vets so would you guys please pray for us both to have the strength that we need to keep going?

| I am so sorry. I will pray for both of you. I know from personal experience how hard it is to decide what is best to do. Let your vet guide you on that decision. They can let you know what would be best to do. Sending prayers.

| This is such a gut wrenching time for you....I am praying for strength and support for you and guidance and wisdom for you to see when it is time to send your baby to your husband....I firmly believe Dudley will let you know when he is ready to go....you will see it in his eyes when he looks at you....my vet gave me scriptures when I was inconsolable over the loss of my little Hailee recently....scriptures that she feels support our beliefe that our precious companions DO have a place in Heaven.....so, I too, believe, Dudley will be with your husband when the time is right.....I am so sorry you are facing this heartbreak..... |

| You must be so distressed with the way poor little Dudley is feeling right now. You must be giving wonderful care to have him with you for so long after the kidney failure diagnosis. Having had a fur-babe with kidney failure I understand what a horrible diagnosis that can be. Now he has liver issues too and is losing weight it seems he is finding it hard to go on, poor baby. Only you will know when the time has come for letting him go and play at the Rainbow Bridge, or he may choose his own time. Having this happen to you having lost your husband recently must be unbearable, especially as he was given to you for company when you dear husband passed. I know no words can help you at this time, but know that many here are thinking of you and praying for you and your baby. It may be of some small comfort to know that when he passes, your little Elliott will be reunited with your beloved husband. So very sad, I feel your pain. |

| I am so sorry that Dudley is not doing well. You will know when the time is right to let him cross over the rainbow bridge. It is one of the hardest decisions to make. It must be so awful for you going through this. God is always near the broken hearted. Sending prayers for you and Dudley.

| Thank you all so very much for your support. I think it really helps to have someone who understands how we feel about our little furkids.

| I am so sorry. Renal failure is terrible .. have been through it a few times and it is very hard at the end to know when to stop putting them through it. I think your sweet Dudley will let you know when he just cannot do it any more. I will keep you and him in my thoughts and prayers.
