| Yorkie been biting tail - bleeding Hi I am new to these forums so I apologise if this is the wrong bit to post into.. My Yorkie is coming up to 6 months old and I have come home today to find he has blood all over his tail as though he has been chewing on it? has anyone got any advice? The vet's shut early around here so it will have to be tomorrow.. Is there any creams or sprays I can use to prevent infection? Thanks in advance for your help! Chloe xx |

| Tail biting Could he have an anal gland issue? You could put some (small amount and rub in well!!) antibiotic or anti itch (cortisone) cream on until you see the vet. If you have a hard cone/collar to prevent him getting at the tail that would be great also. Hope it is easily fixed by the vet. |
