I always put a belly band on my boys, and then a "onsie" like you have for babies....the belly band with a pad inside catches urine so he desnt wet on himself, and the onsie covers the rear area so he does not lick his wound....you could also use a belly band coupled with a doggie diaper to cover his rear so he doesnt lick. You need to remember pottie breaks!

Those cones are pretty uncomfortable but they do the job. My dog just had surgery a few weeks ago and he had to wear one. He didn't like it either but you should keep it on him.

licking The cones are uncomfortable but they work! Most dogs hate them but please keep it on him. It wont be for long but will prevent a lot of trouble! How about the cone in the day and the belly band etc at night when he is not peeing? Good luck and hoping your baby heals quickly and the cone can come off.
