| Tatiana doesn't have pancreatitis, but she's proned to colitis, so I give her a low-fat, low-protein home cook meals to manage it. The simple recipe I use is the following: 1 part lean protein (lean ground beef) 1 part veggies (canned plain pumpkin and peas) 2 parts white rice 1/2 tsp fish oil daily 1/4 tsp calcium powder daily |

| Here it is! I knew you had two threads on this. I personally would not home cook for my pups by winging it...I only use vet nutritionist formulated recipes for my pups. As to the above recipe, it is not calling for supplements and that would concern me.

| Well, supplements can be added to my recipe. I used to add supplements, but Tatiana had allergic reactions to them, so I removed them. |

| That diet is deficient and shouldn't be fed long term to your dog. At some point you'll have to pay the piper. Might as well be smart now and talk to a veterinary nutritionist to balance that diet.
