| diarrhea? I'm posting this here in hopes of someone having some insight.... last night i woke up to a whining and crying dog...smelled poo and ended up having to get up and clean Hunter's crate because he'd had a #2 accident....which is odd but i really didnt think much of it...chocking it up to the fact that i had fallen asleep without giving him that one last potty break ....fast forward to today and he has liquid poo....at least that's what dad said. he's acting fine and drinking water but not eating very much.... any idea what might be causing this? the only thing different in his diet is that i brought him new training treats ...Wellness Wellbites in duck & turkey...they are soft and chewy.... he had the same brand but a different flavor before and i'd thought it was supposed to be a high quality treat so i don't get it.... he did just finish up a round of antibiotics but he took his last dose a whole week ago and he's shouldn't be just now showing diarrhea signs from that should he? i'm at a loss |

| Why was he on antibiotics? Is he drinking? I would stop all treats for now. How many times has he used the bathroom?

| he was on Orbax for 10 days for a UTI which is cleared up...he's all better...yes dad said he drank water today (i just got home from work) dad said he had an accident again in the crate that wasn't quite diarrhea but then he let him out after that and it was very runny....so as far as i know....twice in the last 4 hours i only give him treats because we're in the middle of housebreaking but i've stopped all food and treats for now...at least until morning...per a website's advice...to stop food for 12 hours. i was thinking about running out and getting some pumpkin for tomorrow i read that's supposed to help i wish i'd known about this earlier so i coulda called the vet they are closed for the weekend now he isn't lethargic or anything though he seems fine so im pretty sure it might be the new treats |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry to hear about Hunter. I have had new treats cause a short bout of diarhhea. I have used canned pure pumpkin to help with minor tummy upset. If it continues I would get him to the vet. I hope he feels better soon.

| Pumpkin has worked for me in the past. It could be the treats. If he stops drinking, not acting like himself, or continues to have runny poo I would get him to a vet. Hopefully the pumpkin will work. . Make sure you get 100% pure pumpkin.
