| Need Advice on Sick 3yr Yorkie Hello~ When I went to take my Yorkie Max on a walk he was jumping up and down as usual. He loves being outside and I usually take him on two or three walks a day. For some odd reason today as soon as I opened the door he made a strange noise as if he was hurt. All of a sudden his mood changed from Happy to sad/scared/confused/weak in one minute! I have never seen anything like this before. I took him outside for only a couple a minutes to go to the bathroom then back inside to see what was wrong. Ever since he has been hiding in corners, acting extremely weak, walking slow, will not look at me, wont eat or drink, and occasionally raising his butt up when sitting. It's been couple of hours now and hes still acting the same. Does anyone know what may be wrong? Thank You! |

| I have no idea what it could be. When my girls act different it concerns me. I think I would contact a vet if I were you.

| I think pancreatitis or an ortho injury to a hind leg or spine. I'd get him to the vet right away.

| I am sorry to hear Max is not feeling well. His problem could be any number of things, and his behavior indicates that he is in terrible pain. I highly recommend going to the vet ASAP, and emergency vet tonight if you haven't already. I have been through similar experiences with both of my boys. For my Max, it turned out to be an eye corneal ulcer. For Teddy, it turned out to be gas -- which sounds funny, but can be dangerous. Please update when you can. Sending your Max best wishes.
